Bushfire Programs

If natural disasters are widespread and extremely severe, the NSW and Australian Governments may jointly announce the provision of grants. Such grants rely on the declaration of a natural disaster.

Natural disaster recovery grants provide immediate relief to eligible primary producers, small businesses and non-profit organisations, for clean-up and restoration costs in the aftermath of extreme natural disasters.

RAA administers these grants under the joint Commonwealth and NSW government funded Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) 2018.

NSW residents who have been impacted by natural disaster are encouraged to report damage via the Primary Industries Natural Disaster Damage Survey.
